The Federal Scholarship Board, Ministry of Education has announced the commencement of the 2023/2024 Federal Scholarship Award and Education Bursary Award (EBA) for qualified Nigerians.
The scholarship award is tenable in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
Eligibility for 2023/2024 Federal Government Scholarship Awards
Below are requirements that must be met by interested candidates to qualify for the scholarship.
- Applicants must be full-time students of Federal and State Universities. Those applying for Postgraduate studies must have at least second class upper division in their first degree.
- All Undergraduates, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) must be in at least their second year in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics or Colleges of Education and also be registered full-time students. They must additionally posses at least 4.0 Cumulative Grade Points Aggregate (CGPA) on a five (5) point scale or 5.0 on a 7 point scale or its equivalent.
- The grade requirements for all HND and NCE is a CGPA of 3.5 and above on a scale of 4.0.

Eligibility for Bursary
- Registered education students in Nigerian Colleges of Education and Universities.
- Full time students.
- Be in Year 2 or above.
- Applicants must not be beneficiary of any ongoing scholarship.
Method of Application for 2023/2024 Federal Government Scholarship Awards and Bursary
- Visit the Official website of the federal ministry of education @ www.education.gov.ng.
- At the home page, click on “Federal Scholarship Board” Icon.
- Carefully read scholarship and bursary guidelines, then proceed with the registration.
- Print completion form.
During registration for the scholarship, applicants are to apply the following documents;
- Admission letter to the institution
- CGPA result
- National Identity Number (NIN)
- State of Origin Certificate.
Application Deadline
The registration portal will be opened 2 April, 2024 to 13 May, 2024.
