2024 WAEC GCE Registration : This is to notify the general public and prospective candidates that registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates in 2024 (second series) will soon begin.

The examination would be open to 36 subjects.

Before getting the registration PIN, prospective candidates are recommended to confirm the examination towns and subjects of the examinations on the Council’s website, www.waecnigeria.org.

2024 WAEC GCE Registration

There will be online registration for the WASSCE for private applicants in 2024. Candidates should access www.waeconline.org.ng after receiving their registration PIN to complete their registration.

Also, candidates should be aware that the registration process has been created to take into account the biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination locations.

2024 WAEC GCE Registration Period:

The regular enrollment period for the examination will be announced soon. This page would be updated when the date is announced.

MODE OF PAYMENT:

The required registration fee for candidates is Eighteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira (N18,000), which must be paid at any branch of one of the following banks or an authorized agent to receive the registration PIN and information VCD:

In addition, candidates will be requested to pay a commission of five hundred naira (N500.00) to the banks/accredited agents.

WALK-IN-CANDIDATES:

As long as they register at least twenty-four hours before the planned time of the paper(s) they intend to write, candidates who wish to register for the exam after the entry deadline may be accommodated as “walk-in- candidates.”

The price for “walk-in candidates” is thirty thousand, five hundred naira (N30,500.00).

Please note that these costs may be updated from time to time by the council.

Candidates with Special Needs:

Candidates with special needs will also register online like other candidates but they must clearly state their impairments, e.g., visual, low vision, Spastic, Speech, Hard to hear, etc

2024 WAEC GCE Registration Centers

For PIN purchase and registration, candidates can go to the nearby recognized banks, Cyber Cafes, WAEC offices, and “WAEC REGISTRATION POINTS.”

COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION:

Applicants must complete the 2024 WAEC GCE registration process within two weeks of their initial website access during the registration period.

They should confirm the accuracy of their names, gender, passport photos, dates of birth, and subjects. Also, they must print the notification, which will serve as proof of successful registration and identity during the exam.

General Information for 2024 WAEC GCE Registration:

  1. Applicants should watch the Information VCD before registering for the exam. Aspirants should be aware that the registration fee is nonrefundable.
  2. Candidates should keep checking the website for updates on the exam. Timetable
  3. Entries must include digitally taken passport photos uploaded to the entry form. The digital camera should have a Microsoft HD 3000 standard. The passport photos must be of acceptable quality, in either B&W or color, and include a CONTRASTING BACKGROUND (JPEG file only, 275 by 314 pixels with 72 dbi resolution). There can be nothing that blocks the way. Please be aware that a candidate’s entry will be instantly disqualified if they submit an image that has been altered or is of poor quality.   4. Candidates should read the examination regulations and syllabuses, which they can download from the WAEC website (www.waeconline.org.ng) using the registration PIN.
  5. Applicants must remove their arms and wear a mufti upon entering the examination rooms. In the exam rooms, no professional attire of any kind is permitted.
  6. Candidates who take the test at more than one location will have their complete result nullified. Smoking is not permitted in the room. If a candidate enters the examination hall with a mobile phone or any other electronic device, the results will be canceled in whole.
  7. Candidates should double-check their entries before uploading them because the Council will not be held liable for any mistakes in the candidates’ information. Any requests for changes to the information a candidate freely provides at the time of registration WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
  8. Candidates must make sure they provide valid email and phone number(s) during registration.
  9. All Candidates MUST be prepared to adhere to all COVID-19 Regulations.
  10. Candidates must enter the examination room with their original Admission Notice.
  11. Candidates who commit examination malpractice will not only have their results canceled but may also face legal action.
