    The African continent is known for its diverse landscapes, deep history and rich culture. From beautiful mountains to scenic plains to sprawling forests, Africa has some of the most glorious scenery in the entire world.

    Based on this fact, many universities in the continent have turned into architectural marvels, full of stunning designs with beautiful natural surroundings

    While a nice university doesn’t have to be the main reason you go to university, it’s worth wanting a school that offers the experience you’re hoping for

    In this article, I will show you a list of the 10 most beautiful communities in all of Africa.

    10. American University in Cairo, Egypt

    When you live at the American University In Cairo, what should come to mind is a beautiful mix of Islamic, Arabic, and modern architectural styles.

    Set on the banks of the River Nile, the villa offers breathtaking views and features stunning rooms that flawlessly combine tradition and innovation.

    Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, is famous for its beautiful architectural marvels. The complex is a flawless blend of colonial, modern, and traditional African design.

    Tall trees, open green spaces, and beautiful statues add the finishing touches to all the grace.

    8. University of Lagos, Nigeria

    The University of Lagos Botanical Center is one of the most beautiful things you will see in a lifetime. The entrance is lined with beautiful palm trees, lush parks, a “love garden”, and a zoological garden.

    The noise of monkeys, tweeting birds, and bugs is a constant sound at the University of Lagos. The institution also comes with an artistic view of the Lagos lagoon which houses countless crabs, and The Third Mainland Bridge, which is one of the longest bridges in Africa.

    6. University of Ibadan, Nigeria

    The University of Ibadan was the first university in Nigeria to be established as part of the University of London in 1948. Think of the UI as a beautiful campus surrounded by spectacular landscapes and historic buildings.

    5. University of Ghana

    Established in 1948 as part of the University of London, the University of Ghana remains one of the most impressive universities in Africa. It has striking architecture, bright white walls and a red roof that blends perfectly with the botanical pride of the campus.

    Balame Library is a stronghold of the university and one of the best libraries in West Africa with a freshwater lake. The University of Ghana has been used as a location for film and television productions, especially its popular Ghanaian show Sun City.

    4. Gaston Berger University, Senegal

    Situated 13 kilometers away from St Louis, Senegal, the site of the renowned yearly jazz festival, is the 240-hectare Gaston Berger University landmass.

    The campuses are located in the villages of Sanar Peulh and Sanar Wolof, in the northernmost region of Senegal.

    Here, the structures offer a striking contrast to the town’s remaining examples of French colonial architecture.

    The university’s beauty headquarters, the tower housing the library, is easily visible from the national road that runs from Richard Toll to the border with Mauritius.

The stunning sandstone structure features a slate chair, oak floors from Oregon, a clock tower, and an incredibly stunning perspective of the lawns.

    2. Stellenbosch University, South Africa

    You would almost find it hard to imagine that Stellenbosch University was ever used for anything other than a school after taking in its breathtaking mountain view.

    However, this is a fact: the Stellenbosch Gymnasium was its original name when it was founded in 1866.

    1. The University of Cape Town, South Africa

    The first university in South Africa is called the University of Capetown. Originally established in 1829 as a boys’ high school, they moved to Groote Schur in 1928, which was situated on Devil’s Peak’s slopes.

    The several red-roofed stone buildings tucked away atop the Groote Schur provide a striking contrast to the tall, angular peaks of Capetown’s surrounding mountains.

    The University of Capetown’s classical architecture permeates every building, which is why it consistently ranks among the world’s and Africa’s most attractive universities.
