JAMB Registrar In Tears Over Errors in JAMB Results

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, on Wednesday broke into tears as he publicly apologized for the errors recorded in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to its core values of transparency, fairness, and equity.

Oloyede explained that the errors arose from technical issues linked to one of JAMB’s two service providers, who improperly uploaded data.

He clarified that it was neither a system glitch nor an act of sabotage, but a technical error that was identified and patched.

The Registrar extended a direct apology to the affected candidates and Nigerians via online platforms and announced that all affected candidates would be given the opportunity to retake their examination.
