The University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, said it has suspended Mr. Mfonobong David Udoudom, who was caught in a viral video allegedly sexually harassing a female student.
The school management disclosed that the indefinite suspension is with immediate effect while a disciplinary panel constituted by the institution investigates the incident.
This was contained in a press release signed by the acting Public Relations Officer of the institution, Dr Okwun Omeaku, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
The institution reiterated its commitment to zero tolerance for sexual misconduct between staff and students of the university.

It added that it is among a few Nigerian universities that have a sexual harassment policy for guiding relationships between their staff and students, as well as male and female staff.
The lecturer, who was from the General Studies Division of the university, had gone viral in a video clip.
The institution noted that it remains committed to protecting its students from all forms of exploitation and abuse.
They added that deserved punishment awaits Mr. David if found guilty by the disciplinary panel.
