The Chief of Army Staff Literary Competitions 2025 is now open to Nigerian students.

The competition, which is the 2nd edition accepts entries from Tuesday, 01 October 2024 to Monday, 31 March 2024.

The theme for this year Chief of Army Staff Literacy Competitions 2025 is “The Nigerian Army: Securing the People and Promoting Development”.

Application is open to all Nigerian Children/Youths in Primary Schools (Age 5-11 years), Secondary Schools (Age 12-17) and Tertiary Institutions (Age 18-24 24 years

COAS ESSAY COMPETITION

1. TOPICS TO BE COINED FROM THE THEME

2. LENGTH OF THE ESSAY FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 2000 WORDS WHILE THOSE FOR TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS SHOULD BE BETWEEN 3000-5000 WORDS

3. ESSAY SHOULD BE THE ORIGINAL THOUGHTS OF THE WRITER

4. COMPLETED ESSAY MUST BE UPLOADED TO dema.army.mil.ng NOT LATER THAN 31 MARCH 2025

COAS ART COMPETITION

1. ART WORK MUST HAVE BEARING WITH THE THEME

2. ALL ART WORKS ARE LIMITED TO ONLY PAINTING AND DRAWING

3. THE ART WORK SHOULD BE SUBMITTED WITH A SHORT CAPTION

4. THE ART WORK SHOULD BE ORIGINAL AND NOT TO HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED

5. ENTRIES ARE TO BE SNAPPED /SCANNED AND UPLOADED TO doma.army.mil.ng NOT LATER THAN 31 MARCH 2025

COAS POETRY COMPETITION

1. ALL POEMS SHOULD BE ORIGINAL

2. POEMS CAN BELONG TO ANY GENRE BUT MUST BE RELATED TO THE THEME OF THE COMPETITION

3. POEMS TO CONTAIN A MAXIMUM OF 200 WORDS AND MUST BE UPLOADED ON dcma.army.mil.ng NOT LATER THAN 31 MARCH 2025

4. ALL POEMS MUST BE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE
