Do Not Fall for Tricks of Barnabas, Atiku-led Saboteurs – NALS Warns

The National Association of Lanlate Students (NALS) has warned the public not to fall for the “cheap tricks” of the Barnabas and Atiku-led saboteurs.

This warning, according to a press release signed by the president of the NALS, Mr. Akinkunmi Akinleye, on Sunday, is a reaction to a purported election scheduled for the Federation of Ibarapa Students Association (FIBSA) on February 24, 2024.

Campusnews360 reported that a communiqué signed by the Transition Committee Chairman, Adelakun Michael, stated the formation of an electoral committee for the conduct of the FIBSA Election 2024 and the schedule of the election.

NALS noted that the promise of credibility by those it referred to as merchants of menace was just a smoke screen.

The association called on the general public to kick out Dauda Kazeem, Barnabas, and Onifade Gbenga Gbengene, who, according to it, have been misleading the younger generations with their failed exploits.

“They can only draw us back or keep us stagnant, no progress whatsoever can be recorded with their continuous and detrimental interference”. They added.

NALS also disclosed that, after long deliberation and consultation, they have become aware of the nomination of Mr. Bayo Omidokun by Mr. Victor Olawuyi.

They stated that “he (Victor Olawuyi) is NOT anymore a member of NALS and as such will not represent the interest of NALS in any capacity, as result anywhere he parades himself as a member or representative of NALS should be disregarded.

“He’s acted against the interest of NALS and violated everything we stand for hence his treasonous act will not be forgiven, an example must be made and it is.

The leadership of the association assured that it remain steadfast in its support for the GT-Mike-led FIBSA.

They also warned saboteurs to steer clear of Lanlate and NALS, as attempts to drag the community and the association would be met with brute force.

Press Releases:

In reaction to the purported election schedule published by the Barnabas and Atiku led saboteurs and their promise of credibility as well as using call for peace as smoke screen, we at NALS which to remind and warn the public to not fall for the cheap tricks of these menace merchants.

If truly they want peace, the public should ask:

  1. Why they participated in the last election that produced GT Mike after pronouncing it illegitimate? Cause thier favourite candidate Kilanko Musa from Tapa, whose backed by Oke Wasiu pattern and his cohorts lost to GT-Mike.
  2. Why did they created faction through their kangaroo election proclaiming Paul Ojewola as FIBSA president only for few week before it all came crashing? Is it because Kilanko lost to GT-Mike?
  3. Why did they pronounce Micheal Adelakun as acting president when GT Mike was suspended, even though they had Paul Ojewola as their own president, who is Adelakun acting for? Failed Paul or GT Mike they called illegitimate?
  4. who’s really their president that’ll be handling over, Paul Ojewola or Micheal Adelakun?
  5. How can acting president Adelakun be the Transition Committee Chairman at the same time?
  6. Present the evidence of Participation of Other town associations in the proposed kangaroo election
  7. How was the electoral nominated, did their failed Paul Ojewola kangaroo government senate arm did that too?
  8. Name the representative of each town present in the transition committee? Cause as far as NALS and Lanlate is concerned we are not part of it.
  9. Who’s transitioning for who, is it Paul Ojewola or Adelakun or are they transitioning their evil act to the hand of younger saboteurs?

We also want the public to join the fight and kick out Dauda Kazeem Atiku, Barnabas and Onifade Gbenga Gbengene, they are already misleading the younger generations with their failed exploits and at 40 they should be nowhere near student unionism.

They can only draws us back or keep us stagnant, no progress whatsoever can be recorded with their continuous and detrimental interference.

We’ll also like to inform the public that after careful long deliberation and consultation, the claim that one mr Victor Olawuyi (Vicluv) nominated Mr Bayo Omidokun to be Lanlate’s electoral representative of the kangaroo election has been confirmed.

We hereby inform the public he is NOT anymore a member of NALS and as such will not represent the interest of NALS in any capacity, as result anywhere he parades himself as a member or representative of NALS should be disregarded.

He’s acted against the interest of NALS and violated everything we stand for hence his treasonous act will not be forgiven, an example must be made and it is.

We at NALS remain solid and steadfast in our support for the GT-Mike led FIBSA and strongly against and will continue to fight the saboteurs.

The executives, student leaders and entire member is ready and ceasing the medium to warn of any and all of the saboteurs to steer clear of Lanlate and NALS any attempt to drag us into their destructive act will be met with brute force.
