It was a week filled with glitz and glamour as students of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) gathered to celebrate Students’ Week 2023.
The event began with a Cooking Competition and NIJ got talent on Monday 10 July 2023 and was rounded off on Saturday 18th July 2023 with the grand finale and award Ceremony held at the Institution Premises, Ogba, Lagos.
Campus 360 reports that part of the activities that marked the build-up of the students’ week, tagged #Brace up were Carnivals, religious praise worship (NIJ Honour God), and Bonfire night.
On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, students of the institution appeared in their various tribal dresses to celebrate culture with displays and social-cultural presentations.
Part of the highlights of the week was the NIJ Beauty Pageant Contest which witnessed the display of talent, style, and Confidence by Participating students. The Pageantry produced the emergence of Angelo as Mr. NIJ and Tomi as Miss NIJ.
Students of the institution were treated to a remarkable Grand finale and award ceremony in the late hours of Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Elegantly dressed and in their thrilling ingenuity, students rounded up for the event with the anticipated award ceremony which honoured students in different award Categories including most beautiful, Most Enterprising, and most sophisticated among Others.

NIJ Awards; Campus 360 Editor Bags Blogger Of the Year
The editor of Campus 360 Media, Gafar Ojedapo has emerged as the winner of the Blogger of the Year award at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Awards.
The Grand finale and award ceremony were part of activities marking the students’ week 2023 celebration which was held at the institution premises on Saturday.
The NIJ awards seek to celebrate and highlight the best Individuals, brands, and groups that have been remarkable in the year.
The winners of the awards, according to the president of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Institution, Mrs. Idera Eluwande, were determined by public voting by students of the institution in a voting process.
The Blogger of the Year award category featured other bloggers like Divine izuchukum, Esther Olusegun, and Hope Ejairu.
Campus 360 editor, Gafar Ojedapo who received the award with appreciation, showered encomium on the Students’ Representative Council for using the awards as an encouragement tool for brands and Individuals who deliver value to the Institution.
