PHOTOS: 315 Bags First Class as LASU Graduates 11,755 Students

The Lagos State University, (LASU) has awarded Diplomas, First Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees and Master’s Degrees to 11,755 students of the institution.

The convocation ceremony, which was held on Wednesday, 9th April, 2025 was a day of celebrating academic excellence as graduating students were confirmed worthy in character and learning by the institution.

The breakdown is as follows:
(A) Diploma Programmes 
A total of 971 diploma students are graduating this year, out of which 123 graduated with Distinctions, 550 with Upper Credit, 287 with Lower Credit, and 11 with Pass.

(B) First Degree Programmes 
Among the 8711 students graduating with First Degrees programmes from the University, 192 came out with First Class honours, 3076 with Second Class Upper Division, 4397 with Second Class Lower Division, 990 with Third Class, and 39 with Pass. From the College of Medicine, we have 17 with unclassified MBBS/BDS Degrees

(C) Summary of Graduands for Higher Degree Programmes:
Out of the 2,235 Postgraduate students graduating, we have 302 Postgraduate Diplomas, 1,132 Academic Masters degrees, 639 Professional Masters degrees, 125 Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees and 37 Professional doctoral Degrees.
