The Lanlate Progressive Union [LPU] has truncated the NALS electoral process 2024.
“During the election about 400 people are presenc in the venue to cast there vote for there supported Candidate. In which 319 are eligible to vote during the election and the seco member approved all the majority winnner which include the president elect Ayegoro Idris Adebayo and was decleared as the president elect.
The newly elected executives of the association made this known in a press release after their inauguration was halted on “orders” by the LPU.
“We, the students and elected candidates are appalled and outraged by the council’s brazen attempt to subvert the democratic process. The clandestine move to truncate the will of the overwhelming majority, as expressed in the last election, is a staggering betrayal of the trust placed in the council.

“This undemocratic decision is a slap in the face to the students who participated in the election, exercising their right to shape the future of our union. The council’s actions have rendered the election meaningless, disregarding the voices and choices of the student body.
“We demand that the council respects the outcome of the election and upholds the will of the students. Any attempt to further subvert the democratic process will be met with resistance, mobilization, and condemnation from the student body.
“We stand united in our rejection of this move and will continue to advocate for a democratic and inclusive decision-making process that truly represents the interests and aspirations of the students.

- Demonstrate good character.
- Swear allegiance to Nigeria.

- Naturalized citizens are granted equal rights as those born in Nigeria
