A dissembled decommissioned ABT Aircraft has arrived the Lagos State University (LASU) Epe campus, on Wednesday 6th November 2024 with a team of three NAF experts in tow.
This is following the request of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, for a decommissioned ABT Aircraft to provide practical training for students of the Faculty of Engineering, Lagos State University and the approval of same by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar in a courtesy visit recently.
The NAF team of experts began assembling the aircraft with the active engagement and involvement of students of the Aerospace Engineering Department of the University, proving to be the first encounter of some of the students with an aircraft.
The assembling, which is expected to last for ten (10) days, will expose the students to practical skills in aircraft handling and management as part of preparing them for the industry.
Head, Epe Campus, Prof. Elkanah Oyetunji, and the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Nurudeen Raji has assured that all hands are on deck to help the students get the best value out of the process.
