NALS Dissociates Self from FIBSA “Kangaroo” Election, Drums Support for Taderi

The National Association of Lanlate Students (NALS) has condemned the FIBSA election held on February 24, organized by a body it referred to as an anti-FIBSA group.

The president of the association, Comrade Akinkunmi Oladimeji, expressed in a press release on Tuesday that the election conducted was a total shamble and a disgrace to the students’ populace in the region.

NALS alleged that the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Student Affairs, Mr. Victor Olojede, has assured the president-elect of the kangaroo election, Comrade Adeola Adeleke, of his emergence as “the will of the government.”

The Lanlate apex student body therefore called on the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to call him to order.

NALS declared Adeola Adeleke a “persona non grata” in the Lanlate student community.

The NALS president called on presidents across towns in the region to fight against injustice and call for peace.

The association expressed its support for the Taderi Olaoluwa-led administration. “As a result, I hereby call on one and all the good people of Lanlate to arms, let’s fight for the cause and defend this mandate,” he added.

THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LANLATE STUDENTS.

Press release….

Great NALS! Solidarity greetings to you all

I Akinkunmi Oladimeji Akinleye on behalf of the entire ever militant, diligent and courageous student populace of Lanlate which I preside over, condemn the kangaroo election held on 24/02/2024, by the Anti-FIBSA group. This election is a total shambles, legless and a disgrace to the entire Ibarapa Students populace. I clearly and boldly confirm that NALS isn’t/will never be represented in such a disgrace in any form, the public should ask the organizers of this farce to;

  1. Present the evidence of NALS participation?
  2. Who signed off Lanlate delegates list?
  3. Who signed off the candidates form for Lanlate?
  4. Where is the evidence of the election?
  5. How was the electoral body constituted?
  6. Who will hand over to their president?
  7. Proof of participation of other towns?

And so much more.

The public should also recall that these same set of crooks organized such stupid action to sow the seed of division some years ago with Kilanko Musa and Paul Ojewola, declared presidents only to falter in few weeks even with the government backing spear headed by Victor Olojede Special Adviser on students affairs to Gov. Seyi Makinde. This further proves they’ll go at any length to disrupt the flow of progress at FIBSA especially as long as Atiku, Gbengene and Barnabas are still involved.

The public shout note the statement by the self styled Pioneer president Mr Barnabas who shamelessly held constitution hostage and for years single handedly halted FIBSA’s development just to achieve his agenda with is cohorts is a clear indication of his commitment to the failure of FIBSA. If indeed he’s a leader not a leacher he’ll rather call for peace in crisis time not pick a side. So much for pioneer president!

The public should be aware that the SA to the governor on student affairs Victor Olojede according to sources has said clearly to the treacherous offspring of the kangaroo election parading himself as FIBSA president Adeola Abayomi Adeleke that he’s the will of the government and nothing can change it. I believe is a dare and disrespect to one and all of us, we must fight against such a barbaric act. We hereby call out Gov. Seyi Makinde to call him to order or there’ll be consequences.

In addition, I hereby declare the treacherous offspring of the kangaroo election Adeola Abayomi Adeleke parading himself as FIBSA president as a persona non grata in any and every Lanlate student community. Again if you Parade your self as FIBSA president anywhere at Lanlate, you will collect! The popular line “Akin ni wà, awa ó gbodo sojo” will be made clear to you, and I’m sure Araye, Onidan and Ota epo will be there to witness it. I dare you!

I cease the medium to call out my counterparts across all town to fight against the injustice and call for peace just as the joint memo read previously.

Finally I want to clearly state that I and every single student and entire population of Lanlate students stand strongly and solidly behind Taderi Adeolu and firmly in support of the cabinet and also the election that delivered him. As a result, I hereby call on one and all the good people of Lanlate to arms, let’s fight for the cause and defend this mandate. Atiku, Barnabas and Gbengene, Victor Olojede must not prevail, must mark the beginning of their end!

Aluta continua! Victoria Ascerta! Amala Awetu!

Nothing indeed, can/shall and will discourage us!
