The name of a Nigerian teenager, Oluwafemi Ositade, came into the limelight when he received intentional scholarships from Ivy League universities in the United States of America, including the popular Harvard University.
The 17-year-old Nigerian student, who is a member of the 2023 class of Ambassadors College, Ota, also received scholarships from universities in Canada and Qatar. The scholarships are said to be worth $3.5 million.
Oluwa Femi participated in the SAT, a standard examination used to gain admission into universities in the United States, and had an outstanding performance in the examination.
He scored a perfect score of 100% (800/800) in mathematics and a near perfect score of 95% in reading and writing. Additionally, he had a CGPA of 4.04/4.0 in college.

This remarkable feat by the teenager pulled over 14 scholarships from renowned institutions around the world, with some offering full scholarships, including tuition, accommodation, allowances, and all other expenses needed during the study.
The universities that have extended scholarship offers to Ositade are Harvard University, Brown University, University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus, University of Toronto Lester B Pearson Scholarship, Wesleyan University, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, University of Miami, Howard University, Stetson University, Fisk University, Duke University, University of Toronto St. George Campus, University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus, and Drexel University.

Meanwhile, in the 2023 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Ositade was ranked the second-best student with a score of 358 out of the possible 400 marks.
