NIN Guidelines for JAMB: The National Identity Number (NIN) is one of the requirements for JAMB registration as set by the admissions body.
The process, which began in September 2021, states that only applicants who have registered and earned NINs will be able to apply for JAMB’s UTME.
The inclusion of NIN as a requirement for JAMB followed suit with the usage of the NIN for driver’s license registration, bank account opening, other examinations, and financial transactions.
The necessity of obtaining NIN right away cannot be overemphasized because failing to do so may prevent a student from completing crucial chores for school or particularly the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in the near future.
In actuality, obtaining a NIN is required and open to all Nigerian nationals, with the inclusion of legal residents. This age bracket of eligible individuals includes all age groups (starting at 0 and upwards).
Individuals’ personal information, fingerprints, digital signatures, and passport photographs are all captured during the NIN enrollment and registration process.
One-time registration is only possible for all as features are put in place by the system to ensure that there is no information about you already in the National Identity Database.
