The National Youth Service Corps NYSC Registration is specifically for Nigerians who have earned degrees from domestic as well as international universities and mono and polytechnics.

NYSC Registration Procedure and Requirements
- The URL of the website is portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1.
- The Senate list can be used to confirm your records.
- Click on “Registration for Mobilization” (this includes the year and batch you are registering for) if this is your first time signing up.
- Instead of creating a new account, click “Login Here” to continue your registration with your username and password if you have already registered. Even if you did not finish it or submit it,
- To revalidate your registration if you were mobilized in a previous batch and had previously registered online but were unable to attend orientation camp, click the “Revalidation” link.
Tips to Guide Nigerian Graduates during NYSC Registration
- For graduates who were deployed in a particular batch or earlier batches but did not attend the orientation camp, there is a link for revalidation on the website.
- Instead of creating a new account, use the “Login Here” link to continue your registration with your former Username and Password if you have already registered.
- It is recommended that aspiring corps members do not thumbprint using a proxy. That means nobody should thumbprint for you; you should conduct your own thumbprinting.
- Provide a sharp passport photo.
- You may not be registered for the camp if you provide a passport photo of yourself wearing an NYSC crested vest.
- PCMs should submit requests for name correction (adding or removing a name) during the online Registration process on the institution’s website.
- The National Youth Service Certificate and Exemption Certificate will contain the graduation date and course of study.
- Make sure your information is correct and accurate. In your dashboard, request a date of birth correction in cases of errors during registration.
- After registering, you cannot change your date of birth. So be certain to enter the correct information.Â
- PCMs should get in touch with their respective state secretariats prior to the start of the orientation exercise if they entered their passport photos and thumbprints incorrectly.
- After registering for camp, the passport photos cannot be changed.

Tips to Guide Foreign-Trained Graduates during NYSC Registration
- Click https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/ForeignReq.aspx for the Mobilization Procedure criteria as a foreign student.
- Avoid opening several accounts on the portal.
- Your name must be entered exactly as it appears on your certificate. Original copies of your documents must also be uploaded.
- You can register from anywhere, but before traveling to Orientation Camp, you must have your fingerprints taken in Nigeria.
- If your institution of study has not been reviewed in order for you to acquire an evaluation letter, get in touch with the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja.
- NDHQ NYSC, Abuja,Abuja should receive the evaluation letter.
- Remember that the uploaded SSCE result must be equal to or older than four (4) years.
- During online registration, choose a center for pre-camp physical verification.
- After successfully registering on the website, all foreign-trained graduates must physically appear, along with authentic copies of their degree diplomas, transcripts, and travel passports.
- Print your clearance slip and bring it with you to register at the various camps of deployment if your credentials were physically validated at the different locations during the pre-camp verification exercise.
- Original copies of your credentials must be taken along to the camp as well.
- You must pick up your exemption certificate at NYSC NDHQ, Abuja, if you are exempt from service. Individuals who have been denied service can print their Exclusion Letter from their online dashboard.

Important Points to Note
In order to have seamless registration, prospective Corps members (PCM) are to note the following for strict compliance:
- Prospective Corps members should make sure they have access to working email accounts and Nigerian (GSM) phone numbers so they may register. These phone numbers and e-mail addresses must be kept up during the service year.
- It is expected that a locally trained PCM register will use accurate matriculation numbers. Only graduates who have received their education locally and whose names are on the Senate/Academic Board-approved result lists that their institutions have submitted will be able to access the register on the NYSC portal.
- Prospective Corps members with foreign training should be aware that only individuals with degrees from approved universities are eligible for mobilization. Any potential Corps Member who has received their education abroad and has questions about the accreditation status of their institution may contact the Federal Ministry of Education for confirmation. Nigerian graduates who received their education abroad must visit the NYSC website, register, and upload the necessary files.
NYSC Registration requirements
- The prospective corps members who attended schools in non-English-speaking nations are responsible for having their diplomas and transcripts translated into English before uploading. Also required for physical verification are the translated transcripts and certificates.
- It is required of all graduates in the fields of medicine, veterinary medicine, physiotherapy, radiology, optometry, medical laboratory science, and pharmacy to possess a Certificate of Registration from their respective professional associations. Receipts for payments are not accepted.
- Graduates with foreign training who want to be called up for national service should NOT travel to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja to have their paperwork physically verified. At the orientation camps, the exercise will be completed. Soldiers must print their online call-up letters before reporting to the orientation camps in their deployment states. Graduates with training abroad are required to provide the actual documents they uploaded for verification at the camps.
- Provisional certificates, To Whom It May Concern, internet printouts, scanned copies, and photocopies of identification documents are not accepted.
- When they arrive to pick up the certificate at the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, graduates with foreign training who have applied for exemption certificates must provide all of their original academic credentials and an international passport for physical verification.
- Before Exclusion Letters are printed online, all foreign-trained graduates who registered and are rejected from service should additionally present original academic credentials and international passports at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja, for physical verification.
- Those with overseas training who registered but were not selected for service in the most recent batch should log on to the NYSC website to confirm their registration. This group of people does not have to pay the sum of N3,000.00 (three thousand naira) once more.
- Any individual who displays a phony document will be demobilized and decamped.
- NYSC Registration requirements
- Prospective corps members should make sure the passport photos they use adhere to the following requirements:
- Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and jaw) is fully shown without bending
- Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
- Ensure the photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
- Prospective corps members should never register through a proxy. Students should also keep in mind the fingers that were used to capture their biometric data because these will be checked at the orientation camps. Individuals whose biometrics during the orientation camp cannot be validated will not be registered.
- Only potential corps members who want to print their call-up letters online and have their call-up numbers delivered to them through SMS are required to pay the three thousand naira (N3,000) fee (see NYSC Portal on how to make payment).
- Those who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 can pick up their call-up numbers and call-up letters from their schools instead.
All potential corps members who invested in online registration in the past - During registration, married female potential corps members (whether locally trained or abroad-trained) must upload copies of their marriage certificates, proof of a name change, and their husband’s residence.
- Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should avoid the orientation camp at all costs. Hence, prospective corps members in this category should be aware that no accommodations will be made for them.

- It is required that all part-time graduates register online and wait to pick up their Letters of Exclusion from their individual Schools. Anyone who wants to print the Letter of Exclusion online must spend N3,000 (three thousand naira) in order to do so.
