The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has issued the cutoff score for admission for the academic year 2024.
You are qualified and eligible to partake in the UNILORIN Post-UTME screening exercise if your score is exactly or more than the UNILORIN cut-off mark; however, if your score falls below the cut-off, you are not entitled to do so.
The school’s cut-off mark is one of the most important things applicants must be aware of while applying.
This article is for everyone who applied for admission to UNILORIN and has been looking for the university’s cutoff score to determine whether their JAMB score qualifies them for admission to UNILORIN for the current academic year (2024).
Candidates for the post-UTME screening process must have chosen the University of Ilorin (Unilorin) as their first choice school and have a score of 180 or higher. The UNILORIN cutoff mark for each course is listed below:
In order to avoid confusion among applicants, we would like to clarify the terms “general cut off mark” and “departmental cut off mark” before we discuss the unilorin cut off mark for 2023/2024.
Unilorin Cut Off Mark 2024 (General)
This is the minimum score needed for an institution to consider you for admission. if your score falls below the school’s overall cutoff point. You won’t be qualified to participate in their Post-UTME, which implies you won’t be admitted to that school.
Consider Unilorin, where the general cutoff score is 180; even with a score of 179, you cannot register for their screening exercise or post utme.
Each school is able to select its own cut-off score. But whichever cutoff mark they decide on, it must be higher than the JAMB requirement.
Unilorin Cut off Mark 2024 (Departmental)
The departmental cut off mark is the minimum score needed to enroll in a course or department at a school. For instance, Unilorin has different cut off marks of 250 for pharmacy, 260 for common law, and 260 for medicine, in addition to a general cut off mark of 180.
The cut off mark rises in proportion to how competitive the course is. Every year, there is a precise cutoff score set by each university for all fields. While some colleges disclose their departmental cutoff mark, others do not.
Unilorin department cut off mark for 2024 screening exercise & post utme
Candidates for the post-UTME screening process must have chosen the University of Ilorin as their top school and have a score of 180 or higher. The UNILORIN cut off mark for each course is listed below:
Let me take this opportunity to immediately inform you that the University of Ilorin UNILORIN has reduced the overall mark of the Post UTME from 100% to 30% before we move on.

How to Calculate Unilorin Aggregate Cut off Mark 2024
Now, JAMB scores carry 50% of the value, O-level scores 20%, and post-UTME scores 30%.
Take your JAMB score of 320 as an example. In other words, if you multiply 320/400 by 50, you get 40%. Also, if you multiply 70/100 (your Post UTME score) by 30 to get 21%, you’ve achieved a score of 70. And to complete 100%, you add your O-level grade to the two.
I hope you get the idea.

About the University of Ilorin
The Institution of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a government-sponsored institution in the Nigerian state of Kwara. By means of a federal military government proclamation, it was established in August 1975.
The establishment sought to implement one of the Third National Development Plan’s educational mandates, which sought to increase chances for Nigerians hoping to pursue higher education and produce highly skilled labor, both of which are essential for the nation’s quickly growing economy.
The school has one of the greatest land areas—roughly 15,000 hectares—when compared to other institutes of higher education in the nation. In 2023, it would be the university with the highest demand, according to JAMB.
