Things to note when checking your JAMB result

  • Having a stable internet connection before checking the 2024 JAMB result is important, as a poor internet connection may hinder the smooth checking process.
  • Getting error messages during registration may be a result of a high number of people using the result portal at once. When this happens, exercise patience and try again later, or use other alternative means.

How to Check 2024 JAMB Result using SMS

The Short Service Message (SMS) is an easy way for candidates to check their JAMB results. Those who have no access to the internet or a bad internet connection can use this option by following the steps highlighted below.

  • By using the SMS on your phone, open the messaging app and attempt to send a new message.
  • Compose the message “JAMB RESULT” (to be written in capital letters) and follow it with your JAMB registration number.
  • The official JAMB result SMS numbers are 55019 and 66019. Send the message to one of the official numbers.
  • Within some minutes, your JAMB results will be sent to you in SMS format if your score is ready.

NOTE: Using the SMS to check the 2024 JAMB result attracts a service fee of 50 naira in airtime, usually deducted from the mobile phone being used to check the result. Therefore, it’s important to have enough airtime before attempting to check your result.

However, it is important to note that while the release of scores after candidates have completed their examination is always in real-time, sometimes, technical hitches may be the reason why some candidates won’t see their results.

When you are sure many have seen their results, feel free to contact the JAMB support line or raise a ticket immediately.
