The announcement of ongoing projects in the Ibarapa  East Constituency by the speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Debo Ogundoyin has continued to generate knocks and reactions from indigenes of the Lanlate Community.

The speaker in an official statement on his Facebook handle on Thursday, announced that he toured ongoing projects in the Ibarapa East State Constituency.

As contained in the release, Ogundoyin visited several sites, including the Cashew Plantation at New Eruwa, the Ipin Bridge Construction site, which is near completion, the Eruwa General Hospital, ahead of the Government’s plan to upgrade the health facility, and the assessment of the state and condition of the Eruwa palace for the possibility of a total upgrade.

The Speaker also inspected the ongoing Ido-Eruwa road project and his school project at Temidire to assess the level of work and ensure the completion.

“I am committed to ensuring these projects are completed efficiently and effectively, bringing tangible benefits to our community.” He said.

Concluding the statement, the speaker urged constituents to “continue working together to drive progress and development in our constituency”.

The announcement was followed by reactions from individuals believed to be Lanlate indigenes alleging the neglection of the community in the Speaker’s list of ongoing projects in the consistuencey.

The official Facebook account of the Speaker was flooded with comments, while some applaud the development, others questioned the absence of ongoing projects in Lanlate.

A facebook user identified queried ” Hmmmmmmm, so there’s no project to be attended to in LANLATE?”

Another user, Olaniyan Samuel, who showered encomiums on the speaker asked if there’s any projects in Lanlate or none exist.

“Well done and kudos sir. But we are not seeing update about projects in Lanlate. Or does it mean there’s none at all? Olaniyan asked.

Bayo Akinjola who also reacted to the speaker’s post wrote: “Thanks for the visit to your constituency but Mr Speaker should tell us either lanlate is not part of your consistency… but you will come back to seek another election.

Oludele Adekunle alleged that the speaker has proved to be representing Eruwa alone which is why the speaker had channelled energy and resources to Eruwa alone.
